Our third project in Koutsochero refugee camp was commissioned by InterVolvegr who were looking to provide a more dignified means of distribution. The shop will allow people to choose the items they need using a points system instead of currency allowing less reliance on prescribed handouts.

The structure is a 8.0 x 8.0m fully insulated building allowing it to be effectively cooled or heated depending on the season. Windows open to allow a breeze through the space when desired and have exterior metal mesh to protect them from damage. The trusses support a insulated aluminium roof and at the ends house fiberglass panes to allow a little more natural light into the market.
