This project was constructed for I'm Human Organisation (iHo) who were the first NGO to answer the daily needs of Kelebija transit zone camp. They established a wifi and mobile phone charging caravan that is an invaluable service for those trying to keep in touch with family and loved ones. While the location for their caravan worked well in spring the scorching temperatures that come with the Serbian summer meant that they were in need of a shade shelter.

The Timber Project built a 3m x 5m shade structure that looked to provide protection from the sun (and later rain), creating a comfortable environment in which people could relax while talking to family and friends, as well as hang out away from the border fence.

This structure was later run and managed by North Star who are doing incredible work in the transit zones throughout Northern Serbia.
